Jane and David Newman came in second place for their home in Hampshire.
The couple utilised their large rear garden, turning it into an ideal building plot for them to build their new, 'future proofed' home. They now live in a homely, comfortable, energy-efficient home with low running costs and no on-going maintenance or repair costs.
This bespoke house boasts 2,820 sq ft of living space and cost £550,000 to build, including a basement and triple garage.
