Our Self Build Consultant Sean Adams spent time with the couple, listening to their requirements and collaborating with them to get their ideas down on paper. As well as the above requirements, the discussions produced some other desires for open-plan living space and kitchen, and some other interesting interior features.
The house sits elegantly on the plot with stunning timber cladding running vertically down sections of the home giving a grand but cosy countryside cottage appeal. A Dormer window sits above the front porch creating more height and intrigue. Internally, there are areas of exposed timber frame beams that create distinctive borders between open plan spaces such as the kitchen and living room. Vaulted ceilings add to the sense of space.
This Potton build will ensure the Stephenses remain comfortably housed in the village in a home designed to last and provide easy maintenance as they relax and enjoy life.
