The Unico System has great environmental and cost saving credentials. Winner of a 2005 Cooiling Awards prize for 'Green End User Application' at a supermarket in Northern Ireland, the System is ideally suited to heat recovery applications and, because it uses lower temperatures than radiator systems, actually saves energy. Often linked with geothermal sources or heat pumps, Unico System has a great track record in environmentally friendly installations. The Unico System links to almost any energy source. The system heats in conjunction with a boiler; can both heat and cool in heat pump mode; and can be used for direct expansion cooling. Additionally, the system is a perfect complement to underfloor heating systems and for geothermal applications. Many users have the system installed for hot water heating only and then simply add air conditioning at a later time. As a benefit to the plumbing market, the system can also cool using chilled water.
New this year is the industry-leading UniChiller, a reverse-cycle outside unit providing hot and cold water for home, office or commercial heating and cooling. With the refrigerant circuit self-contained outside the building, UniChiller is safe and easy to install - requiring no specialised refrigeration installation.
