Case Study of the Month - November
Beauty of Compromise

Location: Devon
Land Cost: £245,000
Build Cost: £480,000
Current Value: £900,000

A tricky site next to a listed property meant that Graham and Mo Setterfield had to review their plans, and they are very pleased that they did as they have created a home that adapts to their changing needs.

The Setterfields first saw the site, an old tennis court of a listed lodge, in 2010 and they knew it was a fabulous part of Braunton in Devon.

The couple had some key points in their design brief. They wanted their new home to have a galleried landing, a downstairs room with an en-suite, a side entrance to the wetroom and importantly, the property had to make the most of the beautiful views!

While attending a self build exhibition Graham and Mo got talking to Potton and they liked the design flexibility and range of styles.

"We met with Sean and described the journey we had already been on, he listened to our requirements and within days he had given us a completely different design. With a few minor alterations, it was exactly what we wanted!"
