Lee and Phyliss wanted a Barn Style property for their new home, and decided on a Thaxted design for their plot in Exmouth, in Devon. Externally the house has weatherboarding with a brick plinth, giving it a very traditional feel. The Thaxted, in common with the rest of the Barn range, is built using Douglas Fir structural timbers which are left exposed for aesthetic effect.
