History

Founded in 1964 and based at the Old Foundry in Potton, Bedfordshire, the company started by making simple timber products like packing cases and pallets.

The business grew rapidly in the late 1960’s, and Potton began timber frame housing component manufacture in earnest. Potton was there at the introduction of modern timber frame housing in the UK, and the transition into a major manufacturer and supplier was a natural progression.

With an ever evolving product offering, an unrivalled service record and continual investment in support systems, the 80’s saw Potton become the market leader in self-build package homes. A position we still cherish today.
